One potato, two potato, three potato...
Yes, that’s right, FREE potatoes! While on a video shoot for the Edmonton Potato Growers this week I learned about a special one day event in Fort Saskatchewan. Norbest Farms will be giving away more than 100,000lbs of spuds on September 26th, with an individual allowance of 50lbs per person. They are supplying re-usable bags and all you have to do is roll up your sleeves and get your fingers dirty! For more information follow the link to a PDF file below…

This event, organized in part by the Greater Edmonton Alliance is part of a campaign to preserve high yield farmland within urban development and create a strong local food economy.
